How do I create a CNAME in my cPanel Hosting plan?

 

CNAME is a sort of DNS Record which is used to point a hostname elsewhere.

Follow these steps to create a CNAME in cPanel: 

cPanel Login Interface

  1. First login to your cPanel account with your username and password
  2. Under the "Domains" section, click on the "Simple DNS Zone Editor" icon. or  ‘Zone Editor’.
  3. In the ‘Zone Editor’ screen click on the link with CNAME anchor, beside your domain name. .

  4. Enter ‘Name’ & ‘CNAME’ values. Click on ‘Add a CNAME record’.
  5. Press the "Add CNAME Record" button to save your changes.
